NOUAILLES
medieval estate
Nouailles is an old ‘corps de ferme’ probably dating from the 13th century. It was originally the mill for an old castle on the hill behind it, the Bastide Nantel, of which only a few walls remain. It is made up of the main farmhouse, two barns, a pigeonnier, a pool house and a unrestored mill and the chapel. It has been lovingly restored and equipped to a high standard. It sleeps around 40 people in 17/18 bedrooms.
There is much to delight the senses. A large 20x10 metre swimming pool with a poolside kitchen and terrace is a tranquil spot for swimming and lunches; the two tennis courts with a Lobster tennis machine, fully equipped gym, badminton court, and cricket net are wonderful recreational spaces, as are the children’s play park and ping pong. There is Wi-Fi in every building, an extensive library and a store of DVDs for all ages.
